TERMS & CONDITIONS
HEALTH SCREENING
Please ensure you have completed the health screen questions on the booking form prior to your first class attendance. Incompletion of this will assume there are no health concerns.
Please discuss with your GP prior to attendance if you have any concerns about starting exercise or if you have answered yes to any of the questions in the PAR-Q & YOU section of the form.
Please ensure you update of any changes in your health or any new injuries or pregnancies so that adaptations can be offered.
Harriet will consider this information to plan classes and will offer appropriate adaptations.
ADVERSE EFFECTS OF EXERCISE
Classes are meant to be a fun challenge, but always listen to your body and work within your own limitations and only perform exercises you feel safe to do (especially if you are pregnant).
A small amount of muscular discomfort is normal to feel during and after exercise. If you develop any symptoms that you are not comfortable with, please rest until symptoms settle and if they do not settle, please stop the class.
You should understand that when participating in any exercise or exercise program, there is the possibility of physical injury. If you engage in this exercise or exercise program, you agree that you do so at your own risk, are voluntarily participating in these activities, assume all risk of injury to yourself, and agree to release and discharge Harriet Robinson of Core Physio : Pilates from any and all claims or causes of action, known or unknown, arising out of Core Physio : Pilates negligence.
Exercise can cause cardiovascular changes (blood pressure, heart rate and rhythm) and in extreme and rare cases fainting, heart attack, stroke, or death. Every care will be taken to reduce this, but it is impossible to predict how individuals will react to exercise. If you start to feel unwell in the class, please let Harriet know immediately. The PAR-Q & YOU questionnaire identifies those at increased risk of these effects & your GP will be able to advise if it's appropriate to begin exercise.
If you develop any complications within pregnancy, please discuss continuation of this class with your midwife or GP.
All classes require individuals to be able to get themselves on and off the floor (the use of a chair for support is acceptable).
MUMMY & BABY CLASSES
Classes are suitable from 6 weeks post-partum following your 6 week GP check. If you had any complications during your pregnancy or delivery, please discuss this at your 6 week health screen and provide details on your pre-attendance health screen.
Harriet can direct you to Women’s Health Physiotherapy services if you would benefit from 1:1 support.
To make this class accessible to new mums we encourage you to bring your baby along. Harriet will offer support to both you and baby during the class but your baby remains your responsibility at all times.
We do not encourage you to use your baby as a weight, but if you would like to hold your baby whilst exercising this is your choice.
You are encouraged to feed, change and settle your baby at any time during the class.
ONLINE CLASSES
For online classes please make sure you are exercising in a safe space.
Harriet's ability to offer feedback on exercise technique is limited with online provision, therefore please ensure you listen to your body to reduce any potential risk of injury.

Harriet may use images taken from the classes for marketing purposes on social media, Core physio-pilates websites, flyers and emails. Please inform us if you DO NOT wish for your image to be included.
